  • No matter the day week month summer I’ve had, come Friday, there is no place that gets my spirits up through the gift of spirits mixed by two of my favorite spiritologists mixologists professional adult beverage mix-masters bartenders in Richmond.

To master the craft of any service industry profession, you have to possess some level of je ne sais quoi when it comes to not just dealing with people, but enjoying your dealings with said folks.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say the gentlemen behind the bar at The Roosevelt have a supernatural ability to perform their trade, but I am saying they have a gift.

They’re not just slinging insanely delicious tonic for your nerves, but providing a shoulder for your weary head, a considerate ear for the tales of your travels, and temporary solace in a shared laugh (sometimes over a late night slice of pie).

Maybe it was the cozy environment. Maybe it was my third Orange Door Hinge.  Either way, their service is to be commended. Always a job well done, sirs. Always a job well done.
